Body Positions and Movement with the Movement Cube
Body-Awareness: Using a movement cube, the children imitated the movements shown on it. The children stretched and twisted their bodies while sitting, standing, or lying down. And all the movements were associated with German and English words. Words like up or down are directly associated with a movement, making them easier to understand.
The Magic of the Rainbow – A Fascinating Play of Colors
The Hedgehog Group is studying the fascinating phenomenon of the rainbow and discovering how its beautiful colors are created. On many rainy days in autumn, the children spotted the beautiful colors in the sky. In the kindergarten they created own rainbows in a simple experiment with water, paper towels, and colorful pens. An impressive and amazing “wow” moment.
Experiencing September – Nature as a Learning Space
With our monthly theme, “Exploring Nature in September,” we invite the children to consciously notice changes in their surroundings and experience late summer with all their senses. A particular focus is placed on corn. The children learn that corn is a typical crop of late summer and discover how a small kernel grows into a tall plant with an ear of corn.

Holistic learning in our kindergarten goes beyond teaching new concepts by language and repetition. Instead, it combines learning with movement, visual cues, mathematical concepts, and own experiences. Being creative, telling stories, listening, creating, and making own ideas visible – in our kindergarten, we combine language development with creative activities in the art studio. Rhymes, poems, and stories become starting points for conversations, own ideas, and creative forms of arts expression.
Moments of Memories – Our Holiday Chat Bags
Storytelling becomes a special experience at the dreieins bilingual kindergarten Berlin-Kaulsdorf: At the start of the new kindergarten year, the children bring their “Holiday Chat Bags” back again. Inside, there are little treasures and memories from their holidays, trips, or special moments at home. Each tells a fascinating story.
Music and theatre play for the Mice-Group’s farewell party
Successful rehearsal ahead of the farewell celebration – the children of the Mice-Group presented their program featuring music and theatre performances in front of a large audience. The program began with a musical performance with songs, movements and dance. Followed by two plays inspired by well-known fairy tales.
Learning with Tablets: The Human Body in Focus
The project “My Body” of the Wolves-Group was combined with the creativity area “Digital Media”. We used tablets to playfully explore the structure and functions of the human body. Using them offered a completely different perspective and provided a good opportunity to present complex topics in a clear and understandable way.
Delicious: Culinary World Tour-Day in the Mice-Group
Culinary World Tour-Day: The Mice-Group discovered different countries and cultures with traditional dishes, fascinating facts, and shared tasting experiences. The project vividly supported an understanding of cultural diversity and community spirit. So, the children have got a deeper understanding of the fact that people around the world may live in different ways but share many things in common.
Going to the Ice Cream Café – An Exciting Excursion
At the beginning of May, a very special excursion was planned: the preschool children visited an ice cream café together. With this we practiced traffic safety, restaurant etiquette, and ordering independently. And as a topping, we eaten yummy ice cream.
