Pädagogische Vorbereitung
Im Vorfeld wurde im Rahmen des sozialen Lernens das Thema mit den Kindern zusammen erarbeitet. Wir sprachen darüber, warum Wasser lebenswichtig ist und dass es auf unserer Erde Regionen gibt, in denen sauberes Trinkwasser nicht wie bei uns selbstverständlich ist. Mithilfe eines Globus schauten wir uns an, wo Afrika liegt, welche Tiere dort leben und wie sich Lebensbedingungen von unseren unterscheiden. So entwickelten die Kinder ein erstes Verständnis für globale Zusammenhänge und Solidarität.
Soziales Lernen und Engagement
Mit selbst mitgebrachtem Kleingeld machten sich die Kinder auf den Weg in die Grundschule. Dort unterstützten sie das Projekt mit einer Spende und durften sich als Dank ein Stück Kuchen oder ein Buch aussuchen. Der Kuchenbasar erbrachte einen Erlös von 350 Euro – ein großartiges gemeinsames Ergebnis. Für die Kinder war es eine bereichernde Erfahrung, selbst aktiv zu werden und zu erleben, dass auch kleine Beiträge eine große Wirkung haben können. Sie sind stolz darauf, Teil eines Projektes zu sein, das anderen Menschen hilft. Ein herzliches Dankeschön gilt allen teilnehmenden Familien für ihre Unterstützung.
Preparatory educational work
In preparation, the topic was explored with the children as part of their social learning activities. We discussed why water is essential for life and that there are regions on our planet where clean drinking water is not readily available. Using a globe, we looked at where Africa is located, which animals live there, and how living conditions there differ from our own. In this way, the children developed an initial understanding of global connections and solidarity.
Social Learning and Engagement
Equipped with their own small change, the children made their way to the elementary school. There, they supported the project with a donation and, as a thank you, were allowed to choose a piece of cake or a book. The bake sale raised €350 – a fantastic result achieved together. For the children, it was an enriching experience to act themselves and to see that even small contributions can have a big impact. They are proud to be part of a project that helps others.
