Monday 20th January 2014
Today we met and got to know Justin and Mark, two actors from InterACT English. Justin comes from the USA and Mark comes from New Zealand. First we went to the sports hall and did our morning circle together. After the break we talked about rules. Then to learn our names better we made crazy hats. After that we created diaries to write about our week. In the afternoon we started working in our teams and planned a story. Before hometime we went to the sports hall again and learned how to play Capture the Flag.
Tuesday 21st January 2014
In the morning we met Justin and Mark in the sports hall for our morning circle and some warm up games, for example Running in the Forest and the Pirate Game. After break we wrote our diaries and then played Temple of Doom. In our groups we started to make costumes out of old newspapers for our show on Friday.
Wednesday 22nd January 2014
After the morning circle we wrote our diaries and then worked in groups on our dialogues for the show on Friday. After the break we did a scavenger hunt. In small groups we explored the school and took pictures with a camera to win points for our teams.
Thursday 23rd January 2014
Today was an important day for us to put our play together. We finished our crazy fashion and worked hard in our groups on the dialogues. Then we practised on the stage with Justin. For homework we had to learn our lines off by heart. In the afternoon there was a fun quiz in our teams and Capture the Flag.
Friday 24th January 2014
Finally – the big day of the show! All day we practised and perfected our plays with Justin and Mark. Then we had a rehearsal on the stage in the theatre until our parents arrived to watch us. First of all we said what we liked about the week and then there were four mini plays from all the groups. After that came the fashion show and then Mark gave us prizes for the best costumes and for the best group of the week.
